Nice to meet you-
Friends and peers call me MJ.

I grew up in Massachusetts, but life has brought me to Texas, which is where I’m based in. 🤠
I completed a UX/UI Design certification program in the Spring of 2024. Soon after, I had a chance to explore content design and writing, further shaping my approach to creating meaningful experiences. In my past life prior to UX/UI design, I worked in healthcare, where I experienced digital products on the user side, and where empathy and collaboration were essential. The insights I’ve gathered through my career journey allow me to offer a unique perspective that hopefully adds value to projects I participate in. -
I’m in the process of shaping my design philosophy as I continue growing in my career.
I enjoy the challenge of simplifying complex workflows, using thoughtful problem-solving and iteration to bring clarity to complexity. I find joy when complex data is transformed into visually appealing, easily digestible displays that improve user experiences. My goal is to continue refining this skill and continue evolving as a designer.
As a natural empath, I always try to consider perspectives beyond my own. This mindset helps me design with both the user and cross-functional teams in mind. I recognize that I won’t always get it right, which is why I value collaboration, diverse perspectives, and the iterative process. A good brainstorming session always leaves me feeling energized and inspired. 🤓 -
I try to spend a lot of my time soaking up every bit of design magic I can find—whether it's in what I see, hear, or read. When I’m not…
I like to explore new foods and cafes—especially when travel is involved. I find joy in the process of baking sourdough, and I follow Formula One as much as I can and hope to attend another Grand Prix someday (fingers crossed for my budget). 🏁
